Marketing Manager

The Festival’s Marketing Manager is a key role within the marketing and partnerships team, driving audience engagement, ticket sales and data-driven marketing strategies and systems. The role will actively contribute to the development and roll-out of marketing strategies across the organisation, with targeted responsibility for identifying and delivering audiences for Festival produced ticketed seasons and events. The Marketing Manager will also take a lead role in the management and delivery of the Festival’s CRM and digital marketing systems; overseeing the development and management of the Festival’s digital databases to better understand, target and connect with audiences.

Program Assistants

CONTRACT DURATION: Part-time (2–3 days per week), fixed-term for 6–7 months (two roles)

We’re seeking two Program Assistants to support our programming team with the administration of programs and events, and day-to-day stakeholder communications for the 40th Melbourne International Comedy Festival. These roles provide directed administrative and logistical support across planning and delivery in a fast-paced festival environment.

Key Selection Criteria
We’re looking for people with: 

  • Experience supporting the delivery of projects or events, juggling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Basic familiarity with administrative or financial processes, such as tracking budgets, processing invoices, preparing schedules, and assisting with contracts.
  • Clear communication and strong people skills, with the ability to work well with artists, managers, venues and internal teams.
  • Confidence using digital tools (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Airtable, Red61) and a willingness to learn ticketing or marketing systems.
  • An understanding of, or interest in, the festival or live performance environment, and the ability to adapt to its dynamic and collaborative nature.
  • A flexible and cooperative approach, willing to take direction, contribute as part of a team, and take on a range of tasks as needed — especially during the busy Festival period when priorities can shift quickly.
