Assistant Venues Managers

START DATE: Monday 9 March 2026

We’re seeking applications for multiple Assistant Venues Managers to join the Festival team in key Venue leadership positions.

Assistant Venues Managers will provide support to the Venues Manager and Venues team; effectively and efficiently managing Festival Managed Venues and the Casual Front of House team. In addition, they will provide administrative support to the Venues team, both in pre-production and Festival delivery by assisting in preparing and collating information for staff training and assisting with staffing requirements.

Selection criteria:

  • Experience in venue management for multi-performance space venues
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to also focus on the bigger picture
  • Ability to relay information efficiently and clearly
  • Proven staff management in a theatre, live event, festival context
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively as a member of a complex and interdependent team
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in what can be a busy and distracting environment
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Patience, inventiveness, diligence and an attitude of cheer

Casual Front of House Staff

POSITIONS: Front of House Managers and Front of House Attendants

We’re seeking confident and enthusiastic people to fill a limited number of Front of House Manager and Front of House Attendant roles within the Venues Team to help deliver the Festival program across the Festival Managed Venues in 2026.

Under the direction of the Venues Manager and the Assistant Venues Managers, Front of House (FOH) staff will provide outstanding customer service to all Festival patrons. FOH staff are the primary face of the Festival and are often the first point of contact for the Festival’s audience members. FOH staff are required to confidently address and direct large crowds, professionally and efficiently liaise with artists, producers, and other Festival stakeholders, must be able to think on their feet and adapt to a wide range of situations, must have excellent communication skills and be capable of working to tight schedules.

FOH team members are responsible for collectively ensuring that the Festival Managed Venues are welcoming and accessible, easy to navigate, adhere to schedule and are clean, comfortable and safe.

Selection criteria:

  • Broad experience working in a customer service capacity
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a strong and cohesive team
  • Preferred experience working in a live performance, theatre, events or festival environment
  • Preferred experience working with large crowds and to tight schedules
  • Experience in positive and constructive dispute resolution and the ability to solve problems in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to liaise confidently, positively and calmly in a fast paced and high-pressure environment with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • A diligence when approaching tasks accompanied by a good sense of humour
  • A willingness to learn, take direction and work as part of a team
  • A passion for the arts and a passion for delivering customer service to a wide and vast audience
  • Flexible availability with evening and weekend availability essential for the Festival duration

Ticketing Coordinator

We’re seeking a ticketing all-rounder to join the Festival team as our Ticketing Coordinator. This role assists in the management of the Festival’s ticketing system and provides coverage for Box Office management. As part of the Ticketing Team, the Ticketing Coordinator will help deliver ticketing services for all shows managed through the Festival’s ticketing system, including processing show changes, creating promo codes and supporting producers.

Additionally, they’ll work closely with the Box Office Managers to oversee the Festival’s Main Box Office and Call Centre. This includes supervising casual Box Office Staff and providing an exceptional level of customer service.

Selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in events ticketing (Red61 ticketing system preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing diverse teams and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • A high level of numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High level computing skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of and handling of relations with artists and producers.

Box Office Managers

START DATE: Monday 16 March 2026
END DATE: Sunday 19 April 2026
TERM: Fixed term

We’re seeking applications for two Box Office Managers to join the Festival team.

The Box Office Managers share the responsibility of managing the Festival’s Main Box Office and Call Centre, with shift patterns evenly divided between both locations.

They will play a key role in the delivery of box office operations, including supervising Box Office Staff, assisting with rostering, and ensuring all box office locations are presentable to the public.

In addition, they are essential in providing exceptional customer service to the general public. Responsibilities include selling tickets, coordinating accessible bookings, answering customer queries, and sharing accurate and engaging information about the Festival.

Selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in events ticketing (Red61 ticketing system preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision or management and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • High level of organisational skills including logistics and scheduling.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of and handling of relations with artists and producers.
  • A high level of numeracy as well as advanced experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Cash handling experience and a high level of numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
