Rowan Thambar

Sorry For The Late Reply

  • Australia

This story starts on Friday 13 December 2024 at 5:37pm. Rowan knows this precisely, because that’s what the police report says.

While playing catch with his wife in a local park, comedian Rowan Thambar witnesses a moderate crime. This show documents everything that led up to that fateful incident and the events that transpired afterwards.

Rowan is one of Australia’s most exciting voices on the comedy scene. He’s written for Channel 10’s The Project (Rest in Peace), been nominated for Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe, toured nationally with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow and chances are you've heard him on triple j, NOVA or ABC National Radio.

This year he returns to Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the first time in years, with a show all about a local true crime, doing the right thing in a divided world and 2000's hitmaker Fatman Scoop.

Come spend an hour with this “excellent" storyteller (The Age) as he explores culture, faith and the psychological profile of cretins who don't reply to text messages.

Praise for Rowan Thambar and 'Sorry For The Late Reply'

'His tales of working behind the scenes at The Project are engrossing, as are his quips about modern-day friendship, immigration and tales of visiting Sri Lanka.' The Age
