Ever dreamed of sharing your stories and deadly sense of humour with the world?

Join fellow First Nations comedians and storytellers from Melbourne's most supportive comedy community at our brand new Deadly Funny Comedy Club Workshops at Comedy Republic. Whether crafting your first joke or polishing an established act, workshops provide hands-on writing support, valuable stage time, and the opportunity to connect with other talented comedians.

This isn't just about telling jokes – it's about strengthening First Nations representation in Melbourne's comedy scene and creating lasting community connections. Plus, free drinks and snacks throughout!

Registration is free. Workshops will be facilitated by Deadly Funny alumni.

Deadly Funny Comedy Club Melbourne workshops are proudly presented by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Comedy Republic.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
