Paul's Place

The entrance to Paul’s Place is via Swanston St. The venue is on the Ground floor.

If you are facing the main entrance on Swanston Street:

• To the left is a doorway that provides access to Lower Town Hall.
• Enter the doorway and proceed down the ramp that leads to the doors of the Lower Town Hall lobby.
• Turn right and follow the corridor approx. 20m towards the lifts. Turn right again before reaching the lifts. 
• Follow the corridor approx. 10m forward.
• The door to the Paul’s Place is on your left.
• Please note to enter Paul's Place there are three marble steps, with hand rails either side for the full length of the staircase.

Please note: There is a non-compliant step free access route that requires the use of a temporary ramp that is 720mm wide and 2400mm long, with a rise of 150mm. It does not have handrails but assistance can be provided by request. The carrying capacity of the ramp is 270kg total.

All seating is general admission.

Paul’s Place is flat floor seating consisting of high back banquet style fabric chairs. Accessible seating is available on the left-hand side of the performance space near the entrance to the venue.

A Comedy Festival Front of House staff member can provide assistance to your seat if required. Please see How to Book Your Ticket  if you require a step-free and/or wheelchair accessible seat in the theatre.

There is an accessible bathroom on the ground floor. Please speak to a staff member for assistance in finding your way to this facility.

There is a bar situated in the Lower Town Hall lobby that services shows in Paul’s Place.
