Asian Allstars Gala available to stream for the first time

For the first time ever, audiences across Australia will be able to experience the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Asian Allstars Gala from home, with the 2026 show streaming on SBS On Demand from Monday 31 August.

A much-loved fixture of the Festival, the Asian Allstars Gala is an epic showcase celebrating some of the finest and funniest performers from across India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China and beyond.

Hosted by one of Australian comedy’s freshest and funniest voices, Lizzy Hoo, the Asian Allstars Gala featured Annie Louey, Douglas Lim (Malaysia), Fadzri Rashid (Singapore), Harry Jun, He Huang (China), Henry Yan, Jacky Ng (Singapore), Jenny Tian, Jo Gowda, Kuah Jenhan (Malaysia), Nathan Chin, Phil Wang (Malaysia/UK), Prashasti Singh (India), Rowan Thambar, Stella Wu, Takashi Wakasugi (Japan), Tarang Hardikar (India), Ting Lim and Urvi Majumdar.

The Asian Allstars Gala has become a must-see event at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, selling out year after year. The one-night-only showcase brings together Asia’s brightest comedy superstars alongside Festival favourites and the best new and emerging voices from across the region.
