Godfrey Hirst: Laying the Groundwork for a Great Night Out

Now in their fourth year as the Festival's Official Carpet and Flooring Partner, Godfrey Hirst is once again bringing something special to the festival floor.

Greeting Festival audiences, Godfrey Hirst's custom-designed GH Commercial Designer Jet® welcome mats have been installed at selected venues across the Festival, giving audiences an instant sense of occasion from the very first step inside. 

What makes Godfrey Hirst truly stand out is their ability to weave wayfinding directly into the carpet itself. This year we've collaborated to produce specially designed runners that act as built-in directional signage at our biggest hub, Melbourne Town Hall, pointing audiences towards bars, bathrooms, entrances, lifts and of course performance rooms. Functional, stylish, supporting accessibility across the venue, and genuinely impressive, it's the kind of detail that makes a night out feel effortless.

Helping celebrate the Festival's 40th anniversary, Godfrey Hirst has also designed a custom colourful comedy carpet for The Regent Theatre forThe Big FOUR-Oh! – a gala celebration of 40 years of funny on Monday 14 April, hosted by Geraldine Hickey and Nath Valvo, and recorded for broadcast on Channel Ten.
